How come a QQ thread went so far ? No reason at all , it was nerfed for something and that something still matters.

Because the nerf achieved nothing, merely further reduced the game experience.

fun is completely relative. While a few, like you, may have enjoyed 600/smiting, I know most people only did it to blow through areas as fast as possible, not for fun. Therefore, I support what they did to SB and HW.
Also, I like they way they made Holy Wrath useable in general play. In my opinion, what Anet should be doing is making skills that arnt useable in general PvE play (ex: retribution, preupdate Holy Wrath) useable in general PvE play.

Nerfing farming builds will have the following effect:
- Prices on applicable drops go up (ie: ectos, rares, tomes, etc.)
- Player Activity Level drops a good bit (ie: players quit the game)
- PUGing increases decimally (or very little) if any at all
- Gameplay Stagnates (same skills are same *with the exception of the few baised buffs to the Developer's favorite professions, which are in the last few updates*)
Overall, the nerf to farming can be somewhat good for prices on items, but it does do more harm than good based on the above info. A revert to Holy Wrath and SB are near-impossible, however, and Anet simply won't go back and re-code everything because that means wasting more time and resources. Also, I believe that they're totally aware of the above consequences and chose to follow through anyway. The damage is done, and there will be no undo's because it's just too expensive for them to do the re-work.

They nerfed them because everyone wants to get runned through the area as fast as possible because of the nightmarish shitty drops. If they adjusted the damn chests so that a rare at least drop every 10 tries I could care less about 600/Smite. Since they didn't...

600/Smite was overpowered.
Therefore, it should remain nerfed.

De-valuating gold is bad......forcing people to use the Overpowered builds to afford shiny things...Basically Overpowered farming is bad.

I smell Communism.. haha j/k
From what I gathered the whole point in this holywrath/ spellbreaker nerf was to make it more fair to less ambitious/& non farming players by closing the gap between the haves and the have nots... I think this will not have the intended effect. For many reasons. Mainy there are still farmable areas that arent as affected by the nerf as they should be, given the desired intent.
Secondly even IF they nerfed GW into oblivion there is still a hearty foundation of powertraders out there (ty guru we <3 you!), that will only get richer as the poor get poorer as they would not have the opportunity earn well due to and overnerfed/underpowered skill pool. As far as 600/smite goes. The biggest change that effects people I think, Is the unability to be able to 600/smite w/your hero. (Bummer to because I loved that..)
Bottom Line is..
1. If you loved team 600smite before (w/out heros) because it was fun and enjoyable, then you shouldnt be affetced that much. In my opinion even tho the new 600 build takes longer to run, its much more fun, and is even better for the smiter.
2. If you loved old 600 because it got you quick faction DONT FRET. Even with the new build we average 15 min dtsc runs.. I actually earn faction faster, because I took the time to find and get to know ppl who knew the new build and how to use it, instead of waiting for random groups to pop in. (Which WAS nice and alot harder to do now.)
3. If you Loved 600/smite because it was a great earner. Maybe you should do your homework. I can make more in 2 days of power trading than you can in 2 weeks of farming ectos. And you can still host some High End Dungeon runs and charge the "less advantaged/powerful players" to do there dirty work for them.etc etc..
4. Even if you hate the nerf (which I still disagree with depite this post), all you can really do is nake the best of it and move on... We have survied nerfs b4 (remember the Ursan Blessing guilds? lol they were pissed), we will survive this one..
5. If you STILL cant get over it, maybe you should get out more often.. Diner and a movie with the hottie at work? Idk works for me when im obsessing..
anyway, its just a game right? lol ~Temp

Holy Wrath became an interesting team skill, instead of crap to be used only in solo farming. SB 'nerf' (if you can call it like that) was only a matter of time.
I can't see how reverting these skills improves the game.
There are so many more ways to farm or vanquish areas, it's completely pointless to whine about it ...
You point a one thing which in your opinion destroys your gameplay Zahr Dalsk, without understanding the whole set of implications that the update as a whole brought to the game.
I think the entire fun is in designing builds for different scenarios, adapting to the changing environment (in this case changed pve areas, changed mobs, changed skills) instead of just focusing on a single build and then acting like world is going to die tomorrow because 'your build' was nerfed and 'you refuse to play such a crap game'.
Ok, you and many others enjoyed 600/smite ... but it doesn't matter. What matters is that you focus on one thing, without the bigger picture. Anyway, it's not like I'm going to discuss this with you, as I don't have time for that.
Good luck in whatever you pursue in this game though.

Nerfing the 600/smite made me take a look at some different things. Now I don't have to split my loot and gold. Now, I get to keep it all. Go figure.

How easy was it to farm faction? 1 weekend on double faction weekend.
Overpowered.
How easy was it to finish an ELITE dungeon in hard mode? Too easy. In fact, you can even run 6 people for even more profit.
Does 600/smite still work? YES
Does the smite require skill now? YES
Is this just a QQ thread? YES
